The 2008 RPM race season is going to be bigger and
better than even we could have imagined. Now RPM and
Tradex Abbotsford will be hosting the CMA SUPERMOTO
CANADIAN NATIONAL on August 24th, 2008. Get your
game face on riders this one is for all the marbles. We plan
to have a practice day on Saturday August 23 and racing
on the 24th.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION...
|
RPM will be going on the road to a world class Kart track
located in Quesnel BC. With multiple elevation changes, and
over 12 exciting peg dragging turns. Just 7hrs travel from
Tradex, it will be a road trip to remember.
We are planning our first visit to Quesnel as an open practice
date. This date is to be announced. We plan to meet with the
Quesnel track council to discuss location and design of the dirt
section. We will look forward to the completion of the dirt
section for our Aug 9 & 10th race. If we are traveling 7+ hours to
Quesnel for this meeting, we will be bringing bikes so we can
test the flow of the track (strictly business). Seeing as the RPM
board will be testing the track conditions we will invite the rest
of the membership to come up and provide input to the track
conditions as well. Stand by for this practice date to be added
to the schedule.
We will now be including the Quesnel race in our series points
standings.
Catch cans and peg sliders will be mandatory at the Quesnel
facility.
We are back on track with the NASMOTO qualifier. RPM will be
hosting the qualifier event on July 6, 2008.
The top 10 finishes from each race class will be qualified to race
in the NASMOTO grand finally race in the USA. The NASMOTO
grand finale race is strictly by invitation only. These official
qualifying rounds are the only way to receive an invitation.
RPM has adopted a system that will accommodate our
members that may not be able to make it to every one of the
events. Out of the 6 race series we will take your best 5 finishes
for the final standings in the RPM 2008 Supermoto
Championship.
